    A valid passport/ID, Portuguese tax number (NIF), proof of income (payslips, tax returns), recent bank statements, and sometimes a credit report.
    3Are there any additional costs?
    Yes. Apart from the down payment, you must consider notary and registration fees, property valuation, stamp duty, and property transfer tax (IMT). But the intermediation process is free of charges.
